BATTLEFIELD BLONDE

Chapter 1: Over Before It Began

Written By: Relena Maxwell

Disclaimer: Since I hate writing disclaimers, this one also goes for all the other following chapters: Nope. I don't own GW, or Legally Blond. Someone else does. *tear*

AN: Ok, this is an AU (although it has LOADS of similarities with the series), Relena centered, a 2xR, and this is semi-based on the movie, Legally Blond. So, I hope you enjoy! (

***************

A girl with long blond hair, that was swaying gently in the wind, and eyes an enveloping aquamarine, was calmly looking over her balcony. She peered down at her left hand's ring finger and thought, "Oh, I just can't wait for tonight!"

Her boyfriend for three years, Heero Yuy, was returning from his trip to Japan, where he had been to visit distant family. Finally, he was to come back to her kingdom, her peaceful land of Sanq. Plus, going by the way she and her two house mates, (more like palace mates), Dorothy Catalonia and Sylvia Noventa had interpreted his letters, and he was going to propose to her this very evening.

She just got shivers of excitement of being Mrs. Heero Yuy the II. But, she had to stay completely centered, for she still had work to do. She turned around swiftly, and entered her large office.

The walls were lined with enormous windows, with pink drapes, and real ivy wrapping around the bar they hung from. The flooring a thick white carpet, and in the middle of the room was her huge desk filled with workloads of peace treaties. Yes, in fact, this is the famous Relena Peacecraft.

She sat down, and started reading through a proposition from Mongolia, Suddenly; her two double doors burst open.

"Oh!" said Relena with a startle as she dropped her ballpoint pen to the floor.

Two blondes entered the room with heaving gasps of air. One had daisy yellow hair that was so long it reached her thighs, and she misty gray eyes. The other girl had dirty blond hair and eyes of baby blue. Both were wearing suits of a pale pink, with white shoes, and floral scarves. Another alikeness that the diplomat noticed was that they both had their hands behind their backs, and mischievous glints in their eyes.

When Relena recognized who it was she said, "Ladies, you don't have to come in here with such a loud entrance, you scared me half to death!"

Dorothy bowed mockingly and said, "Yes, your majesty, Princess Peacecraft."

Sylvia bopped her on the head and said, "Shush. We have more *important* things to do"

Relena raised an eyebrow at that, and just as she did, Dorothy pulled a gigantic box of makeup from her behind her back, and Sylvia brought out a rack of dresses from the hallway.

"Oh god no." murmured Relena with wide eyes as she stared at the two girls.

Dorothy pouted and said, "Come on Rel. Everyone knows your beautiful, but with my makeup, and Sylvia's wardrobe, you'll be a knockout."

Relena rolled her eyes, put her arms up and said, "Fine, I give in. Work your magic, ladies."

Dorothy and Sylvia giggled and Sylvia said with a smile, "After all, you have to look your best with lil' cutie Heero."

"Yeah, and she has to look 'bridal'!" exclaimed Sylvia as she pulled out a primrose dress, a lavender one, and a sky blue gown.

So Relena's friends gave her a complete makeover, and before they knew it, the doorbell rang.

As they had planned together, Sylvia was to get the door. She said invitingly, "Hello Heero, Rel's going to be down in just a sec."

He had messy (but in a sexy way) chocolate brown hair, and eyes covered with dark shades. "Great, because the place we're going needs us to be on time." he said charmingly.

As if on cue in a play, the girl in question walked down the stairs graciously. Relena had Dorothy following behind her, proud of her work; and she had reason to be proud, for Relena was a goddess.

She wore light makeup, with light pink lips, silver eye shadow, and little crystal gems around her eyebrows. Her hair was held back in a curly bun, with tiny white flowers pinned in here and there, and tendrils were hanging down around her face.

Her dress was white as snow, made of a material that felt like water to her body, and it went well with her lightly tanned skin. The gown had her bust covered in pearls; the white material clung to her womanly curves, and then fell into a pool at her feet. There was a high slit in the back, and she had gloves and a purse to accessorize.

Heero took off his sunglasses revealing dark Prussian blue eyes. His jaw was slack as he stared at her, and that was just the reaction Dorothy and Sylvia had both expected.

Relena stepped down and stood in front of him and said starring into his eyes with love, "Hello Heero."

"Good to see you again." and with that he pulled her into a deep kiss while Dorothy and Sylvia swooned just looking at the romantic scene.

As the two pulled from the kiss, Relena was mesmerized, trying to hold onto all of her emotions, she must remain cool and collected. After all, this was the night she'll remember forever.

Heero looked at her and said, "Ok time to go." He locked his right arm with her left, and the two walked out the door like a bride and groom leaving a chapel. Dorothy and Sylvia smiled, and gave each other thumbs up.

As the black mustang drove off, Sylvia turned to Dorothy and said, "Do you think she'll do ok?"

Dorothy wiped her eyes dramatically and, "Yes, little Rel's a big girl. She'll do fine."

Sylvia swiped at her shoulder and said, "Oh, you tease."

Dorothy chuckled, and the two entered the house to get their coats and keys. They were going to have a night on the town, and see the new chick flick, "Red Collar". (AN: Made that up.)

Inside the car, Relena asked, "So where are we going?"

Heero smiled at her and said, "To the ocean."

Relena didn't fully understand, so he pointed to the backseats of the car. She looked back and saw a little picnic basket. She smiled and said, "Just like our first date."

"Yeah, I think it suited tonight." And he was right, for it was eight o'clock in June. The sunset would be magnificent on the water.

Relena was getting shivers of excitement again, but tried to calm herself with deep breaths.

~~

Heero parked the car in front of a dock leading out to the water, and with one swift movement, he got the basket from the back.

Relena locked her arms with Heero's again, and the two walked down the dock. They sat at the very edge, with their legs dangling over the side. The cold, yet gleaming, ocean beneath them.

Heero started setting out the utensils and food, and they started eating. Talking about small thing, yet sending each other flirtatious looks between pauses.

He took his napkin, and wiped his mouth; finished with eating, he asked, "So what have you been up to Rel, while I was gone?"

She looked at him and said, "Well, I think I'm almost completely finished with creating peace in Europe. And, now I'm aiming for Asia and the middle east. How about you?"

He chuckled and said, "Nothing big enough to compete with that." Relena smiled at his small joke, and put her hand on his. "Except one thing, Relena.."

Heero then got very quiet, and looked off into the sunset painted of pinks, oranges, and golds. He then sighed and said seriously, "Well, I've been thinking about us."

"Oh! He's going to ask me!" thought Relena as she straitened up as he turned to her.

She nodded and said, wanting him to continue, "Yes, I have too."

He smiled, and took her hands in his and said, "And I have so much pressure on me from my family, you know that?"

"Of course."

"Because if I'm going to be a professional MS warrior, world Preventer, Zero system master, and battle advisor by age 23, I really need to work hard, and make sure everything works out perfectly."

"Certainly, it's expected."

"Well, baby angel, that means I need to go to Preventer college training, and marry the right woman."

Relena could hardly believe this! It was happening! Her entire face lit up with joy.

"I do!"

"I want to break up."

Relena's eyes went huge in disbelief. "W-what? Heero, I thought you were going to propose!"

Heero chuckled and said, "Propose? No."

Relena questioned, "So what's wrong with me? I thought you loved me! Is it because I'm from a pacifistic family?!"

He nodded and said, "Yes, that defiantly. And, because. Well. Admit it Relena, you just aren't my type."

"WHAT?!" she stood up fiercely, causing Heero to sit right on the edge.

"Heero, we've been together for three years! Since our first day of high school!"

"Baby angel, don't take it that way." he said smoothly, trying to calm her raging nerves.

"Good bye Heero." She bent down, and picked up her white purse, then turned around swiftly.

In the process, her thigh hit him in the chin, and he fell off the dock.

"RELENA!"

She turned around to see him in the water and said, "You can swim for all I care!"

Relena raced off the dock, tears flowing down her face, and her mascara running. She ran as far as she could in high pumps, and in such a fancy dress. Deciding Sylvia would kill her if the dress got extremely ruined; she took out her pink cell phone and dialed her home number.

Dorothy answered and said, "Hello! This is the coolest chica house in all of Sanq! If you're phonin' Relena Peacecraft, Sylvia Noventa, or the BEAUTIFUL Dorothy Catalonia, too bad! We're out gettin' our groove on, so leave a message, and if it's bad, we aren't calling back!" A beep was heard, but Relena hung up.

The blond frowned as more tears came from her eyes. Today just wasn't made for her. "Great. I'm going to have to call a cab."

~~

After Relena paid the due for the ride, she walked up her mansion's steps, and opened the door with a sigh. She threw her purse to the floor and said, "God that was horrible. It was even over before it began."

With that, she walked up the spiraling staircase to go listen to sappy love songs while working on boring peace treaties.
